Folk music transitioned through an electronic revival in the mid-twentieth century, and artists like Bob Dylan, The Byrds, The Mamas and the Papas, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Jim Croce, The Band, The Buffalo Springfield, CSN, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Carole King, Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, Pentangle, Steeleye Span, Renaissance, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Waits, and even Bruce Springsteen revered and resurrected the form for millions.
