FOIA Request to Williamson Christian College Regarding Chinese National Students on May 14, 2025.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in governmental and educational institutions, we at Williamson News have submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to Williamson Christian College. This request seeks detailed information about the college’s current Chinese National students and related policies.

The request specifically asks for documents or lists showing all current students who are Chinese Nationals, including their department of study. If such information is protected, we have requested a total number of these students broken down by department. Additionally, we seek details on scholarships awarded to these students, including the amount and source of each scholarship.

Further, we have requested information on any recipients of scholarships affiliated with the Chinese Scholarship Council. In terms of policy transparency, we are also asking for any documents outlining how the university monitors its students—particularly Chinese Nationals—to safeguard intellectual property and other confidential information.

This inquiry is made not only in our capacity as a media organization but also in collaboration with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy. As members of the media, access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill our role in holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency for the public. We believe this request aligns with those objectives and supports our mission to inform the American electorate through comprehensive news coverage.

We anticipate that Williamson Christian College will respond promptly and thoroughly to this request, allowing us to continue providing accurate reporting on matters that impact both local communities and broader educational practices.
