Rep. Mark Green, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district, has recently shared his perspectives on healthcare, veteran entrepreneurship, and national security through a series of tweets.

On May 22, 2025, Rep. Green expressed concerns about insurance companies having the authority to override medical decisions made by doctors. He stated that such administrative obstacles are detrimental to Americans’ health and lives. In response to this issue, he announced the reintroduction of the Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act. “Giving insurance companies the power to override the medical judgment of doctors is wrong.”

Later that day, Rep. Green highlighted the challenges faced by veteran entrepreneurs Will and Bobby Snyder, who are co-owners of The Tactical Edge and former members of the U.S. Army National Guard. Will Snyder described the daily stress involved in managing their business operations and finances: “Every day is stress of how I’m going to pay my employees, get more money in, and keep the lights on,” he explained.

In another tweet posted on May 22, 2025, Rep. Green commented on border security efforts led by President Trump and House Republicans. He urged the Senate to act promptly to secure national borders for future generations: “President Trump and House Republicans have held up our end of the deal.”

Mark E. Green has been serving in Congress since 2019 after replacing Marsha Blackburn as representative for Tennessee’s 7th district. Before his congressional tenure, he served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018.
