Rep. Mark Green, a U.S. Congress member representing Tennessee’s 7th District since 2019, recently shared his views on social media regarding criminal justice and economic issues. His comments highlight his perspectives on law enforcement, economic policies under former President Donald Trump, and the responsibilities of those in the justice system.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Green expressed his opinion on what he perceives as leniency towards criminals by some political factions. He stated that “The Left has an incredible heart for the criminal. They will make a full-throated defense of criminals over the safety of Americans and the rule of law.”

Later that day, at 22:01 UTC, he commented on recent economic data with regard to consumer prices. Rep. Green noted that “Core CPI came in 0.1% lower than expected for April and prices are down.” He attributed these developments to policies from Donald Trump’s presidency, suggesting that “Americans are feeling the benefits” again.

In another statement posted at 23:00 UTC on May 14, Rep. Green emphasized the importance of integrity within the justice system by stating “We are a nation of law and order.” He argued that those who fail to uphold laws should not be part of the justice system.

Mark E. Green was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 and currently resides in Clarksville. Prior to serving in Congress, he was a member of the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018.
