Representative Mark Green, serving Tennessee’s 7th District, has taken to social media to communicate critical legislative initiatives. Green’s public declarations have focused on healthcare reforms and recognizing the contributions of Gold Star Families.

On April 19, 2025, Mark Green expressed agreement with the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology regarding the administrative challenges faced by healthcare professionals. He noted that “Administrative burdens like prior authorizations take valuable time away from patient care and contribute to physician burnout.” Green linked his statement to discussions around his legislative proposal, the Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act of 2025.

Green followed up on April 20, 2025, thanking an organization for their endorsement of his proposed healthcare bill. He expressed gratitude by stating, “Thank you for your confidence in my bill, @regrelief!” He provided further information on the Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act through a shared link.

On April 21, 2025, Green addressed the importance of recognizing Gold Star Families. He remarked, “Every Gold Star Family reminds us that freedom comes at a cost, and we must never take it for granted.” This tweet was related to his legislative effort known as the Protecting Gold Star Families Act.

Green, born in Jacksonville, Florida, is 58 years old and is a current resident of Clarksville, Tennessee. He has been representing Tennessee’s 7th District since 2019, having succeeded Marsha Blackburn, and previously served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018.
