Rep. Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district, shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets on May 21, 2025.

In a tweet posted at 15:00 UTC, Rep. Green commented on the enforcement actions at the border under President Trump’s administration. He stated that “President Trump was decisively elected in large part because he promised to fix the self-inflicted crisis created by the prior administration.” He added that Border Patrol agents have been empowered to enforce the law and detain criminal aliens.

At 16:03 UTC, Rep. Green discussed legislative efforts concerning Chevron decisions. He mentioned that “Forcing these Chevron decisions to gradually sunset will restore checks and balances to our Constitutional system and cut red tape to help get our economy back on track.” He referenced an op-ed he co-authored with Daily Signal for further details.

Later, at 17:00 UTC, Rep. Green addressed issues related to healthcare insurance claims in another tweet. He pointed out that even with quality medical care and early disease detection, complications can arise if insurance companies deny prior authorization claims. He urged readers to learn more from his op-ed published in The Washington Times by stating “You could have a great doctor and a solid treatment plan, and catch the disease at its very first symptom, and still have medical complications because an insurance company denied the prior authorization claim.”

Mark E. Green has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Marsha Blackburn and previously held office in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018.
