Representative Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district, and a former veteran and member of the Tennessee Senate, took to social media to share his views on various issues impacting the nation. Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964, Green has been an influential voice since replacing Marsha Blackburn in 2019.

On May 1, 2025, Rep. Mark Green emphasized the importance of having accurate and up-to-date maps for public safety and effective emergency response. He stated, “Public safety and effective emergency response rely on up-to-date maps. Often, maps produced with federal funds are outdated and lack key details first responders need in an emergency. As a veteran, I know how crucial the full picture is in a crisis situation. That’s why I’m”. The statement highlights his perspective as a veteran familiar with crisis situations.

Later the same day, Green addressed the global expansion initiatives of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He wrote, “The CCP’s Belt and Road Initiative has made steady, insidious progress. The CCP is building ports, airfields, and digital infrastructure in the Indo-Pacific, all with the goal of disrupting American military response.” This remark reflects his concerns about the strategic challenges posed by international activities.

In another post on the same day, Green commented on immigration policies under different administrations, stating, “Under the Biden administration, 184,241 illegal aliens were released into the United States from January 20, 2024, to April 1, 2024. In just four months in office, President Trump lowered that number to 9.” This comparison aims to highlight perceived differences in immigration enforcement.

Mark E. Green, at 58 years old, continues to reside in Clarksville while actively engaging in critical national discussions.
