Rep. Mark Green, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district since 2019, shared a series of updates on social media reflecting his legislative activities and community concerns.
On May 12, 2025, Rep. Green expressed his gratitude upon receiving an award by stating, “Proud to receive the 2024 @NSSF Legislator of the Year Award alongside @SenatorHagerty. I will always stand up in defense of the Second Amendment. Thank you for this honor!”
Later that day, he acknowledged Mental Health Awareness Month with a message aimed at veterans dealing with PTSD: “During Mental Health Awareness Month, our hearts and prayers are with veterans struggling with PTSD. Know that you are loved and help is always free and available. To reach the Veteran Crisis Hotline, dial 988, text 838255, or you can chat with someone online here:”
In another post on the same day, Rep. Green announced the release of an American citizen held overseas: “Edan Alexander, an American citizen held by Hamas, is finally free. Thank you, @POTUS, for your work in securing his safety and release.”
Mark E. Green was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 and currently resides in Clarksville.
