Rep. Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Tennessee’s 7th district, took to social media to share his viewpoints on April 24, 2025. His tweets tackled issues ranging from transnational gangs to environmental concerns affecting both American citizens and military personnel.

In a tweet posted on April 24, 2025, Green addressed the arrest or targeting of 27 members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Highlighting the firm stance of the Trump administration, he stated that “Time is up for 27 members of the Tren de Aragua gang. President Trump will no longer accept violent, transnational gangs terrorizing our streets.”

Later the same day, Green commented on the environmental concerns related to pollutants from Mexico. Acknowledging the efforts of the Trump administration, he posted that “Mexico’s pollutants have washed up on American shores for years, sickening both the American people and our servicemembers. Glad to see the Trump administration taking action on this issue.”

Rounding off his social media engagement for the day, Green reiterated the gravity of issues caused by the Tren de Aragua gang with a post stating that “The destruction and devastation brought to our streets by Tren de Aragua cannot go unanswered. American families deserve justice.”

Mark E. Green has been serving in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Marsha Blackburn. Prior to his congressional service, he represented Tennessee’s 7th District in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018. Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964, Green, aged 58, currently resides in Clarksville.
