Mark E. Green, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 7th district since 2019, shared his views on energy production, China’s influence in the Pacific, and Middle Eastern geopolitics through a series of tweets on June 3, 2025.

In a tweet posted at 14:00 UTC, Rep. Mark Green expressed support for increased energy production with the statement “Drill, baby, drill!”.

At 15:01 UTC on the same day, he addressed concerns about China’s expansion in the Pacific region. He noted that “Every single one of China’s new facilities in the Pacific—its ports, wharfs, fisheries, and more—bear the fingerprints of the CCP’s state-owned enterprises.” He warned that these facilities could potentially serve as military staging grounds for the Chinese navy.

Later at 16:02 UTC, Rep. Green commented on Middle Eastern affairs by critiquing Hamas’ negotiation tactics. He stated that “Hamas’ inconsistent negotiation tactics confirm what we already know: its sole interest is to eradicate the Jewish people, the state of Israel.” He further accused Hamas of advancing Iran’s agenda to cause disruption across the Middle East.

Mark E. Green has been an active political figure since serving in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018 before joining Congress. Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 and currently residing in Clarksville at age 58, he continues to voice his perspectives on international and domestic issues through social media platforms.
