Rep. Mark Green, serving Tennessee’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, has recently made statements regarding key international partnerships and domestic policies via his Twitter account. His tweets cover topics such as foreign relations, border security, and economic performance under President Trump.

On May 13, 2025, Rep. Green emphasized the importance of the United States’ partnership with Saudi Arabia in countering Iran’s actions. He stated that this alliance is crucial for both fostering prosperity domestically and in the Middle East to prevent terrorism from taking root. “Our partnership with Saudi Arabia is key to pushing back on the Iranian regime’s aggression.”

Later that day, Rep. Green highlighted the role of Congress in supporting border security efforts initiated under President Trump’s administration. He stressed that it is Congress’s responsibility to ensure Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel have necessary resources to sustain these initiatives into the future. “Under President Trump, these men and women have been able to get back to their frontline border security mission.”

Additionally, Rep. Green praised President Trump’s economic plan by noting a decrease in inflation rates along with lower costs for groceries and clothing as indicators of its success for American citizens. “President Trump’s economic plan is working for the American people!”

Mark E. Green has served as a U.S representative since succeeding Marsha Blackburn in 2019 after previously holding a position in the Tennessee Senate from 2013-2018.
