Rep. Mark Green, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 7th district since 2019, recently shared his views on various legislative and governmental activities through a series of tweets. Green, who succeeded Marsha Blackburn in Congress and previously served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018, highlighted important developments concerning first responders, FEMA leadership, and healthcare legislation.

On May 7, 2025, Rep. Green expressed support for legislation introduced by Rep. Brian Mast aimed at benefiting first responders. He described it as “a win for our first responders.”

Later that day, he commended Cameron’s testimony before the House Appropriations Committee Republicans. He noted Cameron’s extensive experience as a Navy SEAL operator with four overseas deployments and praised his performance at FEMA: “Great to see @FEMA_Cam testifying before @HouseAppropsGOP today…He has done a fantastic job at FEMA and I look forward to working with his office more as @HomelandGOP”.

On May 8, 2025, Rep. Green announced his introduction of the Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act of 2025. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the doctor-patient relationship without bureaucratic interference: “The doctor-patient relationship is vital to the practice of medicine…That’s why I’m introducing my Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act of 2025.”

Mark E. Green was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 and currently resides in Clarksville.
