Rep. Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district, has been active on social media discussing various topics. Green, who replaced Marsha Blackburn in 2019 and previously served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018, shared his views on recent military appointments and international security concerns.

On June 3, 2025, Rep. Mark Green welcomed Major General David Gardner to Fort Campbell with a brief message: “Welcome to @FortCampbell, MG David Gardner! @101stAASLTDIV”.

Later that day, he expressed concerns over international security issues related to China’s activities near the Philippines. In his tweet at 22:00 UTC on June 3rd, he stated: “Infrastructural Development” is a codeword for defense expansion. The CCP’s artificial islands off the coast of the Philippines threaten the safety and security of a longstanding U.S. ally.”

At 23:00 UTC on June 3rd, Rep. Green commented on energy policy under different administrations: “President Biden did everything in his power to stop American energy production. Under President Trump, American oil will flow again.”

Mark E. Green was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 and currently resides in Clarksville at age 58.
