Rep. Mark Green, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th District since 2019, recently shared his thoughts on various issues via social media posts. Green’s communications reflect his ongoing commitment to national security and public safety, topics that are central to his legislative agenda.

On May 19, 2025, Rep. Green tweeted about the efforts of the House GOP to advance funding for frontline personnel at Customs and Border Protection (CBP). He stated that the proposed funding includes “$4.1 billion for additional frontline CBP personnel and $2 billion for annual retention bonuses and signing incentives for the CBP workforce.”

In another tweet on the same day, Green expressed gratitude towards first responders and law enforcement officials who reacted swiftly to a recent act of violence. He condemned the violence as having “no place in America” and noted that authorities are closely monitoring the situation while offering prayers for those affected by what he described as a “heinous attack.”

Later that day, Rep. Green highlighted his support for current administration policies favoring servicemembers. As a combat veteran himself, he expressed satisfaction with measures aimed at prioritizing military personnel: “Together, we will ensure America’s warriors have the tools they need to keep the homeland safe.”

Mark E. Green was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 and now resides in Clarksville. Prior to serving in Congress, he represented Tennessee’s Senate from 2013 to 2018.
