The Board of Trustees for the Williamson County Public Library is accepting applications and seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Libraries. Under the direction and guidance of the Board of Trustees, the Director manages and is accountable for all operations of the Main Library and five branch libraries located throughout Williamson County. A candidate would be expected to demonstrate exceptional skills in leadership, accountability, development of a work environment that is beneficial to morale, knowledge of current technologies for libraries, establishing positive and effective working relationships with the Board and other community agencies, have a vision for the future of the Library, as well developing budgets and monitoring of financial operations of the Library.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, supervision of staff, overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of all financial and accounting transactions and reports, effective deliverance of customer service and community outreach, and timely, respectful and thorough communications with the Board, County Leaders and Library Support Groups.
A Master’s of Library Science Degree from an accredited ALA institution and a minimum of 5 years of significant management experience in a Library setting is required.
Salary range is $91,000 - $105,000/annually based upon experience and qualifications.
