King University Carroll, Drooker claim Conference Carolinas weekly honors

Jackson Carroll and AJ Drooker of the King University men's volleyball team have been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Offensive Player and Specialist of the Week after their performances for the Tornado last week.

Carroll, a senior from Mukwonago, Wis., played in all three matches, making two starts. He averaged 3.44 kills and 1.67 digs per set. He started the week with 15 kills in a 3-1 win over Quincy, along with 11 digs and a service ace. Carroll also had four block assists against the Hawks. He had 12 kills against Charleston and four against Limestone. This is the first time in his career that he has earned a weekly honor from the conference.

Drooker, a junior from Chesterfield, Va., Started all three matches for the Tornado, averaging 8.73 assists per set. He handed out a career-high 43 assists in a 3-1 win over Quincy before adding 30 assists and 14 digs against Limestone. He finished the week with 23 assists Saturday against Charleston. This is his second career weekly honor from the conference office.
