Rep. Tim Burchett, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 2nd district since 2019, has shared several updates on his Twitter account regarding recent events and legislative activities.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Burchett extended his congratulations to Jack Felton for his initiation into UT Sigma Chi. In his message, he expressed confidence in Felton's academic commitment by stating: "Congratulations to Jack Felton on his recent initiation into UT Sigma Chi. I have no doubt Jack will make his family proud by attending every single class and not staying out late when he should be in the library."

The following day, December 12, 2024, Rep. Burchett announced that a provision reauthorizing the Asian Carp Prevention and Control Pilot Program was included in the Water Resources and Development Act of 2024. He emphasized its importance for local ecosystems with: "My provision reauthorizing the Asian Carp Prevention and Control Pilot Program for the Tennessee and Cumberland River Watersheds through 2030 was included in the Water Resources and Development Act of 2024."

Later on December 12, Rep. Burchett criticized the JUDGES Act for its financial implications and political impact. He voiced his opposition alongside another representative: "The JUDGES Act spends $98 million and allows Democrats to bring in liberal justices with lifetime appointments. I didn't get elected to do that. Why were me and @chiproytx the only R's who voted NO?"
