Representative Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Tennessee's 7th District since 2019, shared several thoughts on social media recently. His posts highlighted gratitude towards law enforcement, concerns about maritime security, and offered condolences to a grieving community.

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Green expressed his appreciation for Agent Maland’s service by stating: "We owe an immense debt of gratitude to Agent Maland for nearly a decade of service protecting our communities in the force. We must never forget that the men and women in green on the frontlines of this border crisis defend our homeland at great personal cost."

Later that day, he emphasized the importance of vetting foreign mariners with a focus on individuals from high-risk countries: "It is essential that biographical information for all foreign mariners, particularly those from the PRC and other high-risk countries, undergo comprehensive scrutiny."

In another tweet posted on January 23rd, Rep. Green extended his prayers to a family affected by tragedy: "We are praying for the family of Josselin Corea Escalante and the Antioch High School community."
