Mark E. Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 7th district, shared several updates on January 24 and 25, 2025, via social media regarding legislative initiatives and opportunities for students.
On January 24, Rep. Mark Green expressed his support for the Protect Funding for Women's Health Care Act, cosponsored by Rep. Robert Aderholt. He stated: "Proud to cosponsor @Robert_Aderholt’s Protect Funding for Women's Health Care Act. Not a single taxpayer dollar should be sent to Planned Parenthood or its affiliates so long as they continue to disrespect the dignity of human life."
Later that day, Green addressed concerns about federal firearm regulations, supporting legislation introduced by Rep. Michael Cloud. He noted: "The ATF has used the federal firearm registry to go after law-abiding gun owners. This abuse has gone on for too long. That’s why I’m proud to cosponsor @RepCloudTX’s NO REGISTRY Rights Act to block the formation of any federal gun registry."
On January 25, Green reached out to students in Tennessee's 7th district with an opportunity related to military education: "TN-07 students: if you want to experience life at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, this is a great opportunity! Naval Academy Summer Seminar: A one-week program designed for rising high school seniors who want to explore life at the U.S. Naval Academy."
