Rep. Tim Burchett, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 2nd district, has recently shared his perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets. Burchett, who succeeded Jimmy Duncan in 2019, has been vocal about his views on bureaucracy, funding for Catholic charities, and immigration.

On January 27, 2025, Burchett expressed his stance against bureaucracy with a tweet stating "We will get along just fine. We take care of our own. If you haven't noticed, we are not big fans of bureaucracy." This message underscores his preference for self-reliance and skepticism towards bureaucratic processes.

The following day, on January 28, 2025, Burchett tweeted about his concerns regarding Catholic charities and their use of tax dollars. He wrote "We need to pull all funding from these Catholic 'charities'. They’re using your tax dollars and they’re not doing anybody any favors." He emphasized that the priority should be locating children lost due to border crossings facilitated by these organizations.

On January 29, 2025, Burchett criticized Hollywood's lack of response to issues involving missing children and crimes committed by undocumented immigrants. He tweeted "Hollywood never cried about Laken Riley, the 300,000 missing children, or the countless other Americans assaulted, raped, or killed by illegals. Keep the deportations coming." This statement highlights his strong position on immigration enforcement.
