Rep. Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Tennessee’s 7th district, shared a series of tweets highlighting his legislative concerns and initiatives on April 21, 2025.
On that day, Green expressed apprehension regarding the role of some NGOs in advising or training illegal aliens. He stated, "@HomelandGOP is deeply concerned that the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) and other NGOs that receive taxpayer dollars may be advising or training illegal aliens on strategies to avoid cooperation with immigration officials." This tweet announced his collaboration with Rep. Brecheen to address these concerns.
About an hour later, Green tweeted about his new legislative effort concerning technology transfer to China. In his post, he noted, "This is exactly why I introduced the China Technology Transfer Control Act. The CCP loves to ride our technological coat tails, and we must put a stop to it." This reflects his intent to curb technological siphoning by Chinese interests.
Later that evening, Green spotlighted issues related to healthcare policy through statistics from the American Medical Association. He tweeted, "#ICYMI: According to the AMA, 23% of physicians report that prior authorization has led to a patient’s hospitalization, while 18% report that it has led to a life-threatening event. My Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act of 2025 is critical." This highlights his legislative response to minimize delays in medical care.
Mark E. Green has represented Tennessee`s 7th District since 2019. He previously served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1964, Green has had a long-standing career in public service and currently resides in Clarksville.
