Important Message from Sheriff Dusty Rhodes
Two gun related incidents reported to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office has made us aware that gun safety practices need more attention.
Safe firearm shooting begins with each and every shooter and we ask that everyone follow the basic 4 rules of shooting regardless of the type of gun.
1. Treat all guns as if they are loaded.2. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.3. Never point a firearm at anything you do not want to destroy.4. Always know what is behind and beyond your target.
Remember, some bullets may go more than one mile beyond their intended target. Always be sure and know what is behind and beyond your target.
We want everyone to enjoy their firearms, but we must practice gun safety. Safe shooting is your responsibility.
