On April 8, 2025, Green expressed his discontent with the Biden-Harris administration's actions regarding federal firearm licenses. In a tweet at 21:01 UTC, he stated, "This is great news for businesses within my district and around the country! The Biden-Harris ATF’s absurd decision to revoke hundreds of federal firearm licenses for small, clerical errors cost Americans their businesses and their livelihoods." He criticized the revocation of licenses, highlighting the negative impact on affected businesses and their owners.

Later that day, at 22:00 UTC, Green shared a follow-up tweet, further elaborating on the issue. He cited quantitative details, mentioning that "The Biden-Harris ATF revoked over 300 licenses from small businesses to sell firearms. That is over 300 business owners and even more employees who lost their livelihoods. I’m thankful to the Trump administration for overturning this decision." His statement conveyed appreciation for the reversal enacted by the Trump administration.
