Rep. Mark Green, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district since 2019, has expressed his views on social and local issues through his recent statements. Previously serving in the Tennessee Senate, Green continues to engage in significant matters affecting his constituents.

On April 18, 2025, Rep. Mark Green commented on a matter of sports and gender in an online post. He stated, "Boys don’t belong in girls’ sports. It’s a shame it takes a lawsuit to establish what has been and should be common sense."

Later the same day, Green expressed gratitude towards a federal decision in another message, "Grateful to the Trump administration for extending the tax deadline for Tennesseans following severe storms. As communities across Tennessee continue to recover and rebuild, this buffer will give folks back home the peace of mind to prioritize their families and livelihoods."

In a separate post shared on April 18, 2025, Green mentioned his engagement with local leaders. "This week, I met with Clarksville City and Montgomery County officials and community leaders to visit the areas affected by the recent flooding and discuss plans to help Tennesseans affected by this disaster."

Mark E. Green, at 58, hails from Jacksonville, Florida, and currently resides in Clarksville. He succeeded Marsha Blackburn in the U.S. Congress and has been involved in supporting Tennesseans through legislation and community engagement.
