Rep. Mark Green, who represents Tennessee’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, shared his concerns and insights on various issues through a series of tweets posted on December 5 and 6, 2024.
On December 5, Rep. Green highlighted testimony from acting USSS Director Rowe regarding operational protocols: "Controlling high ground is something that’s a must for us whenever we go into a location." He raised questions about the Secret Service's decision to designate the AGR complex and its surroundings as outside their control.
On December 6, Rep. Green expressed his apprehension over internal issues within the Secret Service: "The command climate issues at the Secret Service are what concerns me the most. This culture of extreme apathy is unacceptable in the Secret Service." His comments underscore his concerns about organizational culture and leadership within the agency.
Later that day, Rep. Green addressed misinformation related to COVID-19's origins: "Throughout the pandemic, the American people were told a myriad of lies about COVID's origins—including gain-of-function research. We now know that EcoHealth Alliance Inc. used U.S. taxpayer dollars to facilitate gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China." He pointed out findings from @COVIDSelect indicating financial links between EcoHealth Alliance Inc., U.S. taxpayers' money, and research activities in Wuhan.
