He stated, "The United States must prioritize the Arctic as a region of national importance and one that is vital to our homeland security. And @HomelandGOP has a crucial role to play during the 119th Congress in securing our strategic interests there."

Later, at 19:01 UTC, he commemorated soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who perished in a plane crash on December 12, 1985. He wrote, "Today, we remember the soldiers we lost from the 101st Airborne on December 12, 1985, when their plane crashed in Gander, Newfoundland. We will never forget their loved ones, their service, and their sacrifice in the line of duty."

In another tweet at 20:01 UTC, Rep. Green expressed pride over legislation honoring Agent Michel Maceda by naming a unit after him. He remarked, "Proud this bill has become law! Agent Michel Maceda served our nation honorably and gave his life in the line of duty. We are honored to name this storied unit after him."
