Rep. Mark Green, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 7th district since 2019, has recently shared several significant updates on social media concerning cybersecurity, immigration, and national security. His posts highlight current challenges and legislative efforts in these areas.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Green addressed the issue of cybersecurity threats facing America. He emphasized the need for more professionals to detect and respond to cyber intrusions promptly. In his tweet, he stated: "As America faces growing threats from sophisticated and dedicated cybercriminals, the country needs more people to detect and quickly respond to intrusions. → My bill would increase the accessibility of cyber training and education by establishing a new full-scholarship program…"

Later that day, at 18:01 UTC, Rep. Green turned his attention to immigration concerns through another tweet. He revealed that nearly 96% of inadmissible aliens who scheduled appointments via the CBP One app from January to September 2023 were released into the United States on parole: "Nearly 96% of all inadmissible aliens who scheduled appointments through the CBP One app from January-September 2023 were ultimately released into the United States on parole."

In a subsequent post at 19:00 UTC on December 9, Rep. Green discussed national security issues related to information privacy amid an ongoing law enforcement investigation. He stressed that while protecting sensitive information is crucial, Americans should be informed if their devices are being exploited in foreign information warfare: "While it is essential to protect sensitive information from our adversaries amid an ongoing law enforcement investigation and a widespread mitigation effort, Americans deserve to know if the phone in their pocket is being used as a weapon in the CCP’s information war."
