Rep. Mark Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district, has been vocal about various issues on social media. In a series of tweets, he shared his views on the FY25 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and raised concerns regarding Secret Service personnel.
On December 11, 2024, Rep. Green expressed support for the FY25 NDAA by highlighting its provisions: "The FY25 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) authorizes a 14.5% pay raise for junior enlisted servicemembers and supports a 4.5% pay raise for all other servicemembers. I'm proud to support!"
Later that day, he criticized an incident involving Secret Service personnel in Butler, PA: "On July 13th, in Butler, PA, Secret Service personnel with little to no experience in advance planning roles were given significant responsibility. This is unacceptable." He directed followers to read more in a report by @TFAADJT.
Rep. Green also announced his intention to vote affirmatively on the FY25 NDAA due to specific inclusions by the House GOP: "Today, I’m voting YES on the FY25 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). @HouseGOP included many provisions to stop DEI and CRT initiatives in our military and service academies." He emphasized refocusing military services on combat effectiveness rather than "wokeism."
