Rep. Mark Green, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 7th district, has recently shared his views on energy policy, leadership, and international health organizations through a series of tweets. Rep. Green has been in office since 2019, succeeding Marsha Blackburn. He also served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Green expressed criticism of former President Biden's energy policies by stating that "Energy affects the cost of nearly everything. Former President Biden's refusal to harness our natural resources for the benefit of the American people was asinine." He continued with an optimistic outlook regarding current leadership: "Thankfully, we have a president in office now who will usher in a new era of prosperity." The full post can be found here.

Later that day, Rep. Green praised President Trump for his swift actions since taking office. He remarked that "President Trump has done more in his first week in office than President Biden did in four years," suggesting this as an example of effective leadership. In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Green addressed the World Health Organization's (WHO) handling of information during the COVID-19 pandemic and commended President Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. funding from the organization: "During the pandemic, the WHO silenced dissent about the origins of COVID-19, likely at the behest of the CCP...
