Rep. Mark Green, a congressman from Tennessee's 7th district, has voiced his opinions on current legislative efforts through his tweets. Mark Green, who has represented this district since 2019 after replacing Marsha Blackburn, has focused his recent posts on cyber regulations and shipbuilding within the United States.

On April 9, 2025, Green emphasized the importance of streamlining cyber regulations in Congress. "As Congress continues its work to streamline cyber regulations, we urge OMB to take these steps to rein in the cyber regulatory landscape to dramatically improve the security and resiliency of U.S. networks and critical infrastructure," he stated, advocating for the elimination of duplicative regulations.

Later on the same day, Green highlighted his legislative efforts by promoting the SOS Act. On Twitter, he shared "This is exactly why I introduced the SOS Act! It’s time to bring experts and shipbuilders together to come up with solutions and #MakeAmericaSailAgain!" signaling his focus on advancing shipbuilding initiatives in the country.

Continuing his discussions about the maritime industry, Green further reflected on America's historical connection to the sea later that day. "From the Mayflower to the USS Nimitz, America’s connection to the sea has been an integral part of our identity." He believes that the SOS Act will revitalize the shipbuilding sector, emphasizing its potential impact on recreating America's maritime strength.
