Mark E. Green, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Tennessee’s 7th district, has recently voiced his opinions on various issues via social media. Green, who succeeded Marsha Blackburn in Congress in 2019, has a history of service including time in the Tennessee Senate. Born in 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida, Green now resides in Clarksville. His recent tweets cover topics ranging from abortion and election security to healthcare and personal medical experiences.

On April 1, 2025, Green commented on funding for Planned Parenthood. "It's time to #DefundBigAbortion. Planned Parenthood continuously puts profit over the safety of women, performs 40% of all U.S. abortions, and has been caught selling babies’ body parts. This organization has no right receiving a dime from taxpayers."

Later that day, at 11:00 p.m., Green addressed concerns regarding election security. "It’s clear that, even if the Democrats have not deliberately sabotaged our democracy, their reckless disregard for election security is a threat. We must work together to protect our elections. That’s why I’m cosponsoring the SAVE Act."

On April 2, 2025, Green shared his personal health journey related to colon cancer. "For me, this is personal. I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2015. After a colonoscopy, my diagnosis was confirmed thanks to the swift action of my doctor. That procedure paved the way for my treatment.
