Mark E. Green, a current U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 7th District, recently shared a series of tweets addressing a variety of topics. Green has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 and previously represented Tennessee in the state Senate from 2013 to 2018.

On April 2, 2025, Green expressed his condolences "Saddened to hear the news of Jim Ayers’ passing. He was beloved in our entire district. As the owner of the largest Tennessee-owned bank, and founder of the Ayers Foundation Trust Scholarship Program, Jim’s left a legacy of incredible impact on thousands of individuals in Middle" Tennessee.

In another tweet on the same day, Green criticized the current administration's border policies "From fentanyl to illegal alien crime, President Biden and Sec. Mayorkas’ open border resulted in the death of Americans. Watch my full interview with @MorningsMaria @FoxBusiness here: https://t.co/3XLHyrZjLk".

Later, he praised the previous administration’s efforts on border security "By securing the border, the Trump administration is disrupting the deadly business model of cartels. Our communities are safer for it. https://t.co/QOdcV0NDyk".
