Rep. Mark Green, who has served as a congressman representing Tennessee's 7th District since 2019, took to social media to express his views on various issues. Green, a U.S. representative replacing Marsha Blackburn, has been serving in Congress after a tenure in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018. He voiced his opinion on veterans' treatment, reproductive rights, and the Tennessee storm response.
On April 3, 2025, Rep. Mark Green addressed the mistreatment of Vietnam War veterans in a tweet stating, “Our Vietnam War veterans were mistreated and misjudged when they came home. We will always honor their courage and bravery. To all the people who fought alongside the names on that wall, thank you.”
Later the same day, Green tweeted his stance on the use of taxpayer dollars for organizations involved in abortion-related activities. He declared, “Not a single taxpayer dollar should go towards funding any organization that sells the body parts of aborted babies.”
In the evening, Green expressed his gratitude to first responders dealing with adverse weather conditions in Tennessee. He tweeted, “Thank you to the first responders braving the storms to help your fellow Tennesseans. You embody the volunteer spirit.”
